Hello Readers, So recently out there on the inter webs I ran into a book reviewed by the name of Sharon Levin, who turned me onto a book.

How am I going to sell Phoebe and Her Unicorn to a group of middle school boys? Plus the cover is pink and sparkly! Well I am here to tell you that the old adage is correct, you can’t judge a book by its cover and sometimes awesome comes in sparkly pink packages. I absolutely loved Phoebe and Marigold Heavenly Nostrils. I found myself snorting at the end of each page as the devilish Phoebe and vain Marigold begin to form a friendship. When I was finished with the book I knew I could sell it to anyone…6th grade boys included.
So I would like to introduce you to three lads, Rohan, Josh and Aaron who all read Phoebe and were willing to sit down with me and talk about their opinions and their feelings toward this book, the characters and the fact that they were boys reading a book described as “Calvin and Hobbes for girls.”
I would like to thank Sharon Levin for turning us on to the wonderful world of Phoebe. I would also like to thank Shelly Barkes over at Andrews McMeel Publishing for sending us a copy of Phoebe and Her Unicorn. We would love to get our hands on Unicorn On A Roll, I can sell purple books to boys as well. 🙂 Finally I would like to thank Dana Simpson for writing a couple of wonderful characters that fit right up their with Calvin and his silly tiger.
